GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Bookings & Payment

Booking in Advance
  • It’s best to book at least 2 weeks in advance to secure your preferred date.

  • Last-minute bookings are possible — email me to check availability.

Payment Requirements
  • All tours, workshops, and photo shoots must be booked and paid in full in advance.

  • Once your date and time are confirmed, you’ll receive an email with a payment link.

  • Accepted payment methods: Visa, MasterCard, Apple Pay, WISE bank transfer, SEPA (domestic) bank transfer.

Payment Process
  1. Confirm your date and time.

  2. Receive your payment link via email.

  3. Make payment.

  4. Once payment is received, you’ll get a confirmation email with the meeting point.

No date is reserved until full payment is received.

Security
  • Credit card payments are processed through a secure HTTPS system.

  • All payment data is encrypted for your safety.

 

Additional Payments

I will cover my own travel expenses, such as tram fares, to the start of the tour, workshop, or photoshoot. However, you are responsible for any additional costs incurred during the tour, workshop, or photoshoot.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Your own transportation costs during the activity (e.g., a taxi or additional tram tickets).

  • Any activities you choose to participate in that require payment (e.g., purchasing food and drinks, or riding a Ferris wheel).

If my participation in a paid activity or use of a paid service is required for the tour, workshop, or photoshoot to continue, the cost of my participation is also your responsibility.

 

2. Prices & Currency

  • All prices are in Euros (€).

  • WISE provides automatic currency conversion for foreign payments. Rates may vary, and I am not responsible for exchange rate differences.

  • WISE complies with GDPR regulations.

  • Payments include a 2.90% WISE surcharge.

 

3. Arrival & Punctuality

    Situation                                Policy

  • Arrival time                          Arrive at least 5 minutes early.

  • Running late                         Call my mobile immediately.

  • Waiting time                        I will wait up to 20 minutes. After that, it is considered a no-show (no refund).

  • Late arrival                           Lost time will not be added to your tour.

  • Extending the tour               If available, extra time is €105/hour (or part thereof).

 

By booking, you agree to:

  • Have an active WhatsApp account on your mobile phone.

  • Be reachable around the scheduled start time.

4. Rescheduling Policy

If you need to reschedule:

  • Email me to check availability.

  • If available, you’ll receive a payment request for the rescheduling fee.

  • If no suitable date can be found, your booking will be treated as a cancellation (see Section 5).
     

Rescheduling fees:
  • 8+ days before: No charge
     

  • 7–5 days before: 50% of the original fee
     

  • 4–2 days before: 80% of the original fee
     

  • 1 day before / same day: 100% of the original fee
     

 

5. Cancellation & Refund Policy

If you cancel:

  • 15+ days before: 100% refund
     

  • 14–8 days before: 50% refund
     

  • 7–2 days before: 20% refund
     

  • 1 day before / same day / over 20 minutes late / no-show: No refund
     

Other Conditions

  • Refunds are sent to the original purchaser only.

  • Refunds exclude any transaction fees, delivery charges, or taxes.

  • I am not responsible for bank or credit card transaction fees.
     

If I cancel:
You may choose between:

  1. Rescheduling the tour

  2. A full refund (minus any non-recoverable costs such as tickets or deposits paid on your behalf and bank or credit card transaction fees)

  3. Credit toward another tour (with price adjustments if applicable)
     

If I am too ill or injured:

  • I will attempt to arrange a replacement guide.

  • If that’s not possible, I will issue a full refund (minus bank or credit card transaction fees).

6. Force Majeure

“Force Majeure” refers to events beyond my control that make it unsafe or impossible to run the tour, including: War or civil unrest, Strikes or labor disputes, Natural disasters (volcano, earthquake, extreme weather, pandemic).
Determination of Force Majeure is at the discretion of Amsterdam Experience.

 

7. What to Bring

  • Walking shoes — especially for city walks and longer tours.

  • Water and snacks — especially for longer tours.

  • Summer: hat, sunglasses, sunscreen.

  • Rain: raincoat and/or umbrella.

8. Safety

  • Tours take place in public areas, including roads, bike lanes, sidewalks, and inside buildings.

  • While I make every effort to ensure safety, you participate at your own risk — including your personal belongings and equipment.

  • International visitors: Be extra careful when crossing streets — watch out for bicycles.

9. Weather Policy

  • Amsterdam weather changes quickly — light rain is common but rarely lasts long.

  • Forecasts are often inaccurate, especially more than 2 days ahead.

  • A gray sky in the morning does not mean heavy rain all day.

  • Please don’t postpone your tour waiting for “perfect” weather — you may miss your opportunity entirely.

10. Transfer of Bookings

  • Bookings can be transferred to another person before the tour date.

  • All changes must be made in writing (email is fine).
