The remaining 20% of tickets are released on Tuesday mornings for the following week, and sometimes randomly. If you miss the six-week window, keep checking the official website daily, even multiple times a day, refreshing the page for last-minute availability.

During Daylight Saving Time (spring/summer): The Netherlands observes Central European Summer Time (CEST). This means it's 6 hours ahead of New York (EDT) and 9 hours ahead of Los Angeles (PDT). The time difference remains consistent relative to your local daylight saving observance.
The good news is that the time is consistent across all of the Netherlands, simplifying your internal travel plans.
Winter Time: Daylight Saving Time concludes on the last Saturday night in October. At 3:00 AM, clocks move back to 2:00 AM.
Summer Time: Daylight Saving Time begins on the last Saturday night in March. At 2:00 AM, clocks move forward to 3:00 AM.

Common Scams to Watch For:
The "Friendly Photographer" Scam: A seemingly kind person offers to take your photo. After a few shots, they might suggest their "friend" hold your bag for a moment because it's "in the way." You hand over your bag, continue posing, and their friend (and your bag) disappears. Never hand your bag to a stranger, even for a second!
The "Fake Police" ATM Scam: As you withdraw cash from an ATM, individuals dressed in what appear to be Dutch police uniforms approach you. They'll claim there's an issue with counterfeit bills at ATMs and insist on "inspecting" your freshly withdrawn money, and possibly even your wallet. They'll declare your money fake and confiscate it as "evidence." Legitimate Dutch police officers will NEVER ask to inspect your cash or wallet in this manner. These are often Eastern European imposters who purchase uniforms online. Trust your instincts and walk away.
